prisma was founded in 1998 by Manfred Hoogestraat and Heinz Wübbena, two electronic engineers, who have been in the semiconductor industry in Europe since 1990. They have held positions as Application Engineer, FAE Manager, Marketing Manager and Regional Sales Manager for so called 'design-in-products' from different semiconductor vendors. The objective was, to establish a company based upon the manufacturer representative concept originated mainly in the U.S. but became more and more popular also in Europe.
